I am ready to start scrapbooking about the odyssey I have been on over the past year. As part of my journey to a healthier lifestyle, I got to a point where I could no longer ignore an old knee injury. So, in February of 2010 I began seeking a diagnosis for the pain I was experiencing in that joint. I ended up needing surgery, and thus physical therapy.
I think it will be therapeutic to scrapbook about this experience.
Journaling reads: During 2010, I spent six months going to physical therapy 2-3 days/week. It was a slow, tedious, and painful process. The therapists helped take me from being almost completely immobile just days after surgery to walking confidently into 2011. No matter how discouraged or frustrated I became, through these doors I found courage, strength, and hope.
I used Studio Calico's January kit, Who's Who, for this layout. I also added the following:
flowers + "journey" charm-Girls' Paperie, yellow alpha-Cosmo Cricket, blue and green alpha-October Afternoon, yellow and red alpha + arrow-Basic Grey, Light Blue alpha + bright yellow alpha +black alpha-American Crafts, ledger alpha-sassafras, rosette ribbon-Webster's Pages
It feels so good to be scrapping again! There was no creativity last week as I was terribly sick. I have almost completed another layout from Metropolitan, too!
